The home energy upgrade program is at the heart of British government cuts, according to reports of English media. Specifically the project ‘Green Deal’ is expected to ‘freeze’.
Through this program, it is possible to homeowners in the UK to obtain financing and other incentives in order to proceed with the replacement of the windows, insulation and boilers of the houses so that to reduce energy consumption.
The Department of Energy and Climate Change of Great Britain highlights that it will terminate this project in order not to burden taxpayers with additional weights.
The Green Deal is a project which aimed by 2020 to reduce the environmental footprint of the country by at least 30% from current levels. Due to the economic recession, the environment is not in UK’s priorities.
