A five-story building collapsed in Lebanon, on the morning of Sunday, February 11.
Furthermore, the collapse took place in the Sahra Chouaifet area, in the city of Choueifat.
Hassan Zeaiter, the owner of a store located in the building, stated that the building was about thirty years old.
Luckily, no casualties were reported in the collapse, as its residents felt tremors and began evacuating at 7:30 a.m., ten minutes prior to the collapse, fearing of an earthquake occurring.
It is also worth noting that the adjacent building was also evacuated as a precautionary measure.
According to L’ Orient Today, several partial or total collapses have occurred across the country in recent years, while in October eight people lost their lives from a building collapse in Mansourieh.
