A “bridge” structure connecting two towers in Dubai opened on February 5, 2024, featuring the world’s longest cantilever, as well as the world’s longest infinity pool on top of it.
Furthermore, the bridge is called “The Link”, while the skyscrapers it connects are the mixed-use One Za’abeel.
The One Za’abeel’s towers are standings at heights of 305 and 235 meters respectively, while between them sits a six-lane highway.
This highway created the need for connection between the two structures, which came via a shopping mall under the road, and The Link at a height of 100 meters above ground.
The Link measures 230 meters in length and four stories in height, while it mainly houses bars and restaurants. The structure features the world’s longest infinity pool on top, while also facilitating the world’s longest cantilever, at a 67.5-meter length.
It is finally worth mentioning that the previous record holder for the world’s longest cantilever was situated on Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, measuring a length of 66.5 meters.
