Poland’s highly anticipated Central Communication Port (CPK), set to become a global transit hub, has reached a significant milestone. The design acceptance process has begun, bringing this ambitious project one step closer to construction. CPK is a massive multi-modal transport hub that will feature an airport, railway station, and public transport interchange, with the first phase expected to be completed by the end of 2032.
CPK will serve as Poland’s largest airport, with a capacity to handle 34 million passengers annually in its initial phase. The facility will accommodate up to 23 wide-body aircraft and 27 narrow-body planes simultaneously. With the construction expected to begin in 2026, this project will not only boost Poland’s economy but also position the nation as a key player in Europe’s aviation industry.
The hub will enhance connectivity with high-speed train links to cities like Warsaw and Łódź, and its innovative design will feature a 450,000 square meter terminal with three distinct levels for Schengen and non-Schengen operations. It will also support the growing national carrier, LOT Polish Airlines, which aims to expand its fleet and operations.
