A mobile crane tipped over at a construction site in Tokyo, Japan, on Tuesday, May 16.
Furthermore, the incident took place at a nursing facility construction site, in the Shinagawa Ward of Tokyo, at around 9.45 a.m. local time.
It was reported by Tokyo police that the crane lost balance and overturned while lifting an excavator, resulting in it hitting a truck, a van, and another vehicle.
Police and firefighters immediately rushed on scene and utilized heavy machinery to lift the crane and rescue any trapped people on site.
The aftermath of the event was one worker trapped inside the van losing his life and another one, trapped inside the truck, sustaining severe injuries.
An investigation regarding the event has been launched by the Metropolitan Police Department of Tokyo.
