Refund & Cancellation Policy

At TheCivilEngineer.org, we are committed to providing valuable sponsorship opportunities that help organizations reach the geotechnical engineering community. Please review our refund and cancellation policy before making a sponsorship commitment.

1. Sponsorship Payments

• All sponsorship payments are billed annually and must be paid in full at the time of agreement unless otherwise specified in a separate contract.
• Sponsorships are non-transferable and apply only to the agreed-upon sponsorship period.

2. Cancellation Policy

• Sponsors may request a cancellation within 30 days of purchase for a partial refund (e.g., if no promotional benefits have been used).
• After 30 days sponsorship payments are non-refundable, as benefits such as listings, promotions, and exposure may have already been provided.

3. Modifications & Upgrades

• Sponsors may request to upgrade their sponsorship level at any time by paying the difference in fees.
• Downgrades are only possible at the time of renewal and do not qualify for partial refunds.

4. Refunds & Special Cases

• Refunds are generally not provided once sponsorship benefits (such as directory listings, articles, or advertisements) have been activated.
• If sponsorship services cannot be fulfilled due to unforeseen circumstances on our end, we will offer a credit or partial refund at our discretion.
