A real treasure was identified by scientists in New Zealand. The water that is in underground reservoirs in the volcanic zone Taupo, is rich in gold and silver.
In particular, Americans and New Zealanders geologists said that they found six underground water reservoirs at a depth of hundreds of meters in the volcanic zone Taupo, which, they say, are full of precious metals, the total value of which amounts to several million dollars.
But there is a problem: even if scientists are right in their assessment that there are high quality deposits of precious and other types of metals dissolved in the water which is heated by the magma of volcanoes or other hot springs, there is not the technology that is required for safe extraction.
For this purpose, in their study, geologists propose a new extraction process, which uses a two-phase tube so as to ensure continuous access to deposits of gold and silver, without any risks.
The overall conclusion of the study is that it is better for specialists to concentrate on developing technologies that will give them access to underground deposits that are dissolved in the groundwater, than to persist in extracting metals from closer to the surface, as the value of gold and silver at greater depths are up to 75 times greater.
