Under-construction flyover collapses in India

The girder of an under-construction flyover in Chiplun, India, collapsed on Monday, October the 16^th, while the incident was caught on video.

However, what has been stated so far is that the flyover is part of the Mumbai-Goa highway, located in the Bahadur Shaikh locality of Chiplun city.

There were no injuries reported in this event, as the structure cracked and produced a loud noise before collapsing, raising concerns about its structural integrity, and prompting people to evacuate the area.

Along with the bridge’s span, the equipment used for its construction also collapsed.

Finally, locals were reportedly alarmed by the incident, which raised concerns about the flyover's structural integrity.
