Apart from this 11-year cycle, the Sun has other activity cycles. One of them is called "mega solar minimum." When the Sun is in this phase, the high temperatures recede and, as experts say, at that stage the star produces more ... coolness! The Sun has passed that phenomenon 350 years ago, and as a result, Europe and North America were led to a mini ice age.

According to researchers of the University of Reading in Britain, the Sun is driven again in this situation. Scientists, who study this phenomenon, are not able to say exactly when the solar recession will take place. They estimate that there is a possibility to happen in the next 50 years. However, they hasten to note that this drop of temperature would not prevent the impacts of global warming due to human activity that will cause a worldwide ecological disaster.
