Insufficient Measures of Australia for the Environment

According to the committee for the climate of the United States of America (USA), the first six months of 2015 were the warmest for the last 136 years, for which there are relevant statistics.

If the weather keeps in the same levels until the end of 2015, then 2015 will replace 2014 as the warmest year for the past 136 years. This will provide further evidence that the air temperature follows an upward trend, which is highly ominous for humanity.

The scientific community warns that if preventive measures do not be taken as soon as possible for curbing the rise of temperature to two degrees Celsius by 2100, then the impact on the global area would be devastating.

In light of these warnings, the various countries have announced measures that they intend to take after 2020, aiming to keep the temperature rise to 2 degrees Celsius by 2100.

For thousands of years, mankind has used the wind as a driving force. The use of fossil fuels such as lignite, replaced the wind energy for the production of electricity.

The oil crisis in the early 1970s revived renewable energy sources like wind, solar and tidal.

More recently, the realization that fossil fuels have a negative environmental impact, enhanced even more interest for further development of renewable energy sources, which have the additional advantage of being inexhaustible, whereas fossil fuels are gradually running out.
