Large scale flooding occurred in two Turkish provinces, just over 5 weeks after the catastrophic earthquake that hit the country.
More specifically, the provinces of Adiyaman and Sanliurfa were flooded and received 136mm and 111mm of rain respectively, within 24 hours.
The floods claimed at least 12 human lives in the Sanliurfa province and 2 more in Adiyaman, while part of a hospital and an earthquake survivors' campsite had to be evacuated.
It is worth mentioning, that a bridge collapse has also been reported by the government on the Adiyaman-Celikhan Highway, which had to be closed.
It is expected that rainfall in the area will die down by the end of the week.
