An Israeli company has designed a moveable floor for swimming pools for extra safety and space

The design company Agor came up with an innovation regarding outdoor swimming pools: a moveable, rigid floor that completely covers them, and can then be submerged into the water. This way, the owner can adjust the water depth in accordance to his needs (for example children’s height and swimming ability). The moveable cover consists of a water-based hydraulic system and a stainless steel floor. The surface is highly-durable and the whole system can support nearly three times the average load (kg/m²), giving extra space in the garden when the pool is not used. The company also offers custom-made covering solutions for most swimming pool shapes and sizes.
