Australia is required to reduce by 30% the emissions of carbon dioxide by 2025. The decision was made in the context of the World Conference on climate change, which took place in Paris with the participation of all the developed countries. Discussions regarding the problem had begun several months earlier. The proposal of Australia was to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide at a rate of 40-60% by 2030.
After extensive discussion of decision-makers, it was decided the pollutants carbon dioxide to be reduced by 30% by 2025 and a further 40-60% by 2030, in order to deal with the very serious issue. The Government of Tony Abbott pledged to announce as soon as possible the final decision.
The Climate Change Authority (CCA) said in its report “The authority believes its recommendations constitute a credible package for the Australian government to take to the Paris conference,”
It should be mentioned that Australia is facing the greatest exposure ultraviolet radiation due to ozone hole in the atmosphere, which is located just above the vast country of Oceania.
