MIT students have found a way to produce plastic-reinforced concrete that is up to 15% stronger than conventional concrete, by adding irradiated bits of plastic water bottles
A student came up with this green alternative to plastic
We are using enormous quantities of single use plastics, with many of them ending up in the ocean
The total volume of all plastic ever produced has been calculated at 8.3 bn tonnes (the equivalent of 25,000 Empire State Buildings, or a billion elephants)
The result of upcycling discarded water plastic bottles, carbon-free recycled rubber and recyclable foam
