The main spillway of Lake Oroville Dam, California, whose major damage in February 2017 threatened the region with flooding and forced 200,000 people to evacuate, is now being demolished.
Almost 200,000 people were ordered to evacuate the area around Oroville, California on Sunday afternoon, after erosion caused damage in both spillways of America's tallest dam at Lake Oroville.
On January 5th, 2018, the Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO) and the United States Society on Dams (USSD) released the following statement "Oroville Independent Forensic Team Releases Final Investigative Report" regarding Oroville Dam spillway incindent back in February 2017.
