Oban, Scotland has experienced a large amount of seismic activity lately. Last week, two small earthquakes were measured in the small town on the west cost of Scotland.
The first earthquake, measuring a 1.3, occurred around midday on May 14th. The second occurred five days later, late at night on May 19th, and was measured at 1.9. Citizens reported that the quakes caused a great deal of noise but luckily caused little to no damage. Several other small earthquakes have been measured around Scotland recently, including another 1.9 earthquake in Loch Goil during the same week.
