This is a traffic counter. It is nothing more than 4-5 counters bond together. Each time one of the buttons is pressed the indication in this
counter increases by one. The engineer stands next to the road the traffic of which he wants to count and presses the relevant button.

For example:

  1. The first button may indicate the passenger cars which turn to a crossway left
  2. The second, those which continue straight ahead.
  3. The third the trucks which turn left and the fourth, those which do not.
  4. The fifth the motorcycles which turn left, the sixth those which do not.
Traffic Counter

This tool has many uses. It can be used to count the traffic of a road, the directions to which
vehicles are are moving or even the traffic of a highway. Of course these measures can be done
without the aid of this counter but the use of it simplifies a lot the job.
