Greetings
Inspired by the enthusiastic support and success with the
redesigned Geoengineer.org
and TheStructuralEngineer.info
Websites, the last couple of months we have been working in
renovating and upgrading our mother website "
TheCivilEngineer.org". Today, we are more than pleased to
announce that a new, dynamic and completely redesigned
TheCivilEngineer.org Website has gone live!
The
website is not just an aesthetic improvement. It is based on a
completely new structure and format that allows us to
integrate information on the website on a real-time basis.
Designed with the most up-to-date programming technologies,
the website collects information, posted by our center or
visitors, and presents it in a systematic way.
When
news is published on our website or forums, this information
is also automatically being included and promoted through the
main page of TheCivilEngineer.org. The latest announcements of
our sub-websites are also posted here. All you have to do is
to click the tab that is of most interest to you. And once you
do, consider visiting again later, because most likely new
information will have been released already. Remember that the
core navigation bar displayed on the top left enables you to
directly visit each one of our sub-websites. Simply click on
the discipline that is of interest to you. Not all
sub-websites are currently fully developed, but we will very
soon be making progress on that front too!
We have put
a lot of effort into this project. We hope you will like our
new website and that you provide us with valuable feedback!

| History of TheCivilEngineer.org Website
The site started in 2001 as a personal effort of the
founder. Prof. Dimitrios P. Zekkos, to provide useful
information for engineers, students and academia by taking
advantage of the opportunities provided by the
Internet.

series of websites encompassing the major practice areas of
Civil Engineering. Currently there are 6 sub-disciplines
hosted and supported by TheCivilEngineer.org with 2 of them
fully developed and other ones underway. Each Website has a
unique collection of databases that are updated on a daily
basis. The websites have 70,000 to 120,000 visitors per month
